Komoot is an app that lets you find, plan, and share adventures with its easy route planner. Driven by a love for nature and powered by the outdoor community’s recommendations, komoot helps you explore more of the great outdoors — wherever and however you want. And we're good at it. Google and Apple have listed us as one of their Apps of the Year numerous times. Today, with over 40 million users and 300,000 five-star reviews, we are well on our way to becoming the most popular app for finding, planning, and sharing adventures worldwide.

Join our 100% remote team and start your adventure with komoot.

About the role

We are the biggest, most engaged outdoor community in DACH. We have thousands of Pioneers, people who contribute to our maps and make them even better for others users; there are people organising meetups and  group hikes with other like-minded komoot users; there are even more supporting each other remotely with likes, comments, and encouragement on each other's activities on komoot.

We need an outstanding community manager who’s passionate about working closely with these amazing people to make our community known for being the most rewarding outdoor community to contribute to and be part of.

Crucial to this role is recognizing and rewarding our community on komoot, engaging 1-1 with our most engaged members, educating users on how they can be a part of it through webinars, and organizing meetups that form friendships and memories. You’ll work in an experienced team alongside Anne, Grace, Jonathan, and the rest of the Community Team.

You’ll take responsibility for growing our community of contributors in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. If you’re an active part of the outdoor community and love interacting with people online and in-person, this might be the job you’re looking for.

  • You’re rewarding and connecting DACH Pioneers with meetups and experiences that align with our strategy
  • You’re educating groups of users with webinars and ‘how to’ content that accelerate their journey to becoming  Pioneers
  • You’re independently managing users who contribute the most to our community by supporting their requests and ideas
  • You’re proactively managing our most engaged Pioneers. Working closely with Support.

In your first nine months:

  • You’ve been directly involved in 2-4 trips and meetups with our community and facilitated the community hosting many more
