We are currently looking for a Community Investment Specialist to join our Community Investment team. This individual will work very closely with the Director of Community Investment in the design and enhancement of the firm’s global community investment program. This team member should expect to spend about 70% of their time leading and designing opportunities for activating employee engagement (seeing volunteer events from recruitment through execution), 20% supporting with administrative needs, and 10% in thought partnership and leadership with the Director and other internal stakeholders. 

Community Investment Specialist 

  • Lead volunteer recruitment and event planning for internal volunteer opportunities, in collaboration with nonprofit partners 
  • Cultivate a culture of giving and volunteering within the organization by developing and implementing strategic programs and fostering employee engagement in charitable activities to amplify impact 
  • Assist the Director in the design and enhancement of the firm’s global community investment program, by conducting research, analyzing community needs, identifying potential partnerships, and contributing to the development of strategic plans and initiatives that align with the firm's mission and values 
  • Maintain regular communications with internal stakeholders to augment knowledge building and collaboration through sharing of best practices, and to support and drive community investment-related initiatives by providing guidance, resources, and coordination for projects that align with the company's social responsibility goals and foster a positive community impact 
  • Serve as a brand ambassador, responsible for managing some aspects of our partnerships with our non-profit and community-based partners  
  • Co-manage Community Champions, providing guidance on program and communications 
  • Assist with the design and execution of the firm’s annual giving challenge 
  • Maintain accurate data entry of firm’s philanthropic giving into our grants management database 
  • Ensure the accuracy of grant agreements by reviewing, maintaining, and updating records, as well as managing documentation to support successful grant administration and reporting 
  • Manages entry of all volunteer events into volunteer database 
  • Supports the Director with scheduling external meetings 
  • Works with Accounting to Process invoices and gifts 
  • Support the Foundation Committee during the grantmaking process 
  • Develop and update volunteer content for departmental SharePoint page 
  • Manage the LEAD Intern for ten weeks over the summer 

What this role requires: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in a similar role 
  • Demonstrated passion for Social Impact - history of volunteer engagement 
  • Experience in Corporate Social Responsibility or in Nonprofit Sector 
  • Proven ability to run programming, volunteer events, and recruitment with little to no oversight 
  • Commitment to work collaboratively through ambiguity  
  • Understanding of the employee profile within the fintech sector 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills  
  • Motivated, self-driven, and adaptive 
  • Positive and can-do approach with a solutions-oriented mindset 
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines 
  • Proven ability to multitask, prioritize and take direction from multiple sources 
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook for email and calendaring and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint with an appetite for/ability to learn new platforms 
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner
