Job DescriptionIDS is seeking a Communications Specialist (Organizational Change Management) to support a federal government program. This role provides strategic communications and change management support for initiatives focused on policy implementation, operational improvement, and stakeholder engagement.
The Communications Specialist will work closely with cross‑functional teams to develop clear, consistent messaging and support organizational change efforts within a large, distributed organization.
Key DutiesDevelop and deliver strategic communications supporting internal operational and policy‑driven initiatives.
Create, edit, and maintain communications products including briefings, talking points, messaging frameworks, and presentations.
Support organizational change management efforts by developing communications that promote awareness, understanding, and adoption of new processes or initiatives.
Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to ensure accurate and consistent messaging across stakeholders.
Assist leadership and program teams with stakeholder engagement and coordination activities.
Ensure communications align with organizational priorities, governance processes, and operational goals.
RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
Minimum of 7 years of experience supporting communications efforts for federal programs.
Experience supporting organizational change management initiatives in complex environments.
Strong writing, editing, and presentation skills tailored to diverse audiences.
Ability to coordinate across functional teams and adapt messaging as needed.
Prosci Change Management Certification or comparable certification preferred.
U.S. citizenship required.
No security clearance required.
Compensation- $110,000 – $130,000 annual salary
