The US Communications Manager will drive internal and external awareness and engagement around company strategy, values and culture through multiple communications vehicles and tactics. The person in this role will be responsible for managing editorial content and strategically driving corporate messages across multiple vehicles to reach targeted audiences and drive an improved employee experience across the company. The US Communications Manager will enable and align on “one USA voice,” actualizing Saputo’s strategy, culture, and values through effective communications.
How You Will Make Contributions That Matter…

Partner with the U.S. Communications team, senior leaders, teams and key stakeholders to implement communications strategy – including planning and driving vehicles, creative content and campaigns.

Develop and advise on engaging content and effective key messages and implement creative tactics to ensure those messages are broadly conveyed, while protecting and promoting the Company’s brand and reputation.

Create/Shape supportive internal and external audience perceptions that drive desired behaviors.

Enable clear business communications and clarity of direction for employees, driving increased employee satisfaction and retention, and affirming integrity of leadership.

Influence pivotal external audiences to take actions that further business outcomes.

Serve as a trusted advisor and consultative partner of the business, coaching and providing guidance to managers, supervisors, and senior leaders on communication strategies.

Plan, create, edit, and distribute effective content to SDUSA employees and other internal or external stakeholders regarding our business strategy, initiatives, updates, and changes, in partnership with the relevant leadership stakeholders.

Manage Town Halls and other business update forums.

Coordinate development and maintenance/ refresh of the SDUSA business overview and narrative for internal and external use.

Promote and protect Saputo Inc. & SDUSA brand and reputation, take proactive actions to mitigate risks.

Manage SDUSA crisis management communications and preemptive planning, in partnership with corporate communications and sr. leadership.

Manage media and public relations for SDUSA.

Monitor and track relevant externally sourced news, media and intelligence on Saputo/SDUSA, competitors and the broader industry, and inform appropriate parties

Manage and continuously improve SDUSA external-facing division website.

Coordinate, implement and manage a formal, aligned communications cadence and calendar of events, working collaboratively with HR, Corp Comms, and other cross-functional stakeholders and ensuring alignment with org-wide MOS.

Support corporate communications by managing the corporate narrative, content distribution, and usage for/within the US Division

Support HR communications to develop business related content and messages for new hire onboarding, DE&I, employee advocacy, and brand ambassadorship programs
You Are Best Suited For The Role If You…

have a minimum of 5 years professional experience in communications, public relations, or journalism
-
have a bachelor’s degree in communication, Public Relations, Journalism or another related field
-
have experience in internal, external and crisis management communications.

have experience developing compelling executive communications and partnering with executive leaders.

have a media Relations / Spokesperson training and/or certification
-
have proficiency with digital communications media (including Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and other graphic arts software programs

Salary Range: $85,370 to $112,050
Salary offers will vary commensurate with experience, education, skills, and training.
