Advanced Agrilytics is seeking a Communications Lead to join our innovative and growing team, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and conveying our company's narrative to enhance brand awareness, boost employee engagement, and drive commercial success. Reporting directly to the Marketing Director, you'll be a senior practitioner within a collaborative team of marketers, responsible for both strategic development and tactical execution. Your success will be measured by the implementation of a comprehensive communication strategy, improvements in content efficiency and impact, and growth in thought leadership and content engagement. Advanced Agrilytics is an agronomy services company focused on unlocking the potential of every acre. Through direct-to-farm agronomic guidance, unbiased spatial research and sub-acre environment understanding, delivering on the promise of precision agriculture. 

How you will help us grow:

  • Brand Messaging: Develop and refine the company’s story, ensuring consistent value propositions, positioning, and key messaging across all communications.
  • Content Marketing: Build and manage a robust content marketing program: selecting relevant topics, managing contributors, creating high-quality content, and distributing it effectively across various platforms.
  • Speakers’ Bureau: Build and manage a speakers’ bureau program: securing engagements, preparing speakers, and coordinating pre- and post-event activities.
  • Media Relations: Build and manage a media relations program: developing compelling news releases, pitching stories to media outlets, organizing media interviews, and coordinating responses to inbound inquiries.
  • Owned Media: Develop, execute, and optimize strategic plans for all owned media channels, including social media, podcasts, blogs, and newsletters.
  • Content Support: Ensure brand consistency and high editorial quality in all executive, company-wide, and external communications.
  • Content Creation: Create engaging content such as emails, video scripts, blog articles, social media posts, and web pages.
  • Internal Communications: Partner with the People Development team to implement a comprehensive internal communications strategy aimed at enhancing transparency and employee engagement.
  • Employer Branding: Partner with the Recruitment team to execute an external employer brand strategy, increasing the number of applications and improving conversion rates.

Experience you bring:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or a minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience: 6-8 years of experience in marketing communications or content marketing; experience in Agriculture or Agronomy communications preferred.
  • Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments and enjoy working in a team environment.
  • Writing and Editing: Exceptional writing and copyediting skills.
  • Project Management: Strong project management abilities, with a talent for organizing and prioritizing multiple projects.
  • Technical Communication: Skilled in translating complex, technical concepts into clear and compelling marketing communications tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Social Media Management: Experience managing organic social media channels on Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube; experience with paid tactics is advantageous.
  • Software Proficiency: WordPress, Microsoft Office suite, and Canva or similar design software.
