Job Duties:
The selected candidate will acquire valuable professional experience in a multifaceted Communications Division, where the duties may include assisting with the creation and editing of public-facing communications, supporting public outreach campaigns and events, capturing content for communication projects, contributing to stakeholder coordination and project support, and providing administrative support to the Communications team. Interns will have the opportunity to develop strong written communication, organizational, and collaborative skills while contributing to the department's public information efforts.
Requirements / Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: Must be a three-fourths time student in good standing majoring in a discipline or field related to the work to be assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A strong communicator with excellent writing skills, an interest in public policy, attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to work at least 15 hours per week. Temporary, full-time work may be available during breaks.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Interest in communications, marketing, organizational development, or similar fields
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro or document management systems.
