Responsibilities:
Strategy
- Work alongside the Communications Director and other comm team members to support the work we are doing for the church and various ministries of Northwest.
- Connect and develop relationships with ministry leaders and team members.
- Stay informed of best practices in project management and identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
- Stay informed of best practices in communication channels and identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
- Organize workflows and communicate clear expectations among ministry teams.
- Enforce processes and procedures across all Northwest communications projects.
Management/Implementation
- Support the Senior Pastor, Communications Director, and Worship team in coordinating and executing all communications initiatives for Sunday worship services.
- Coordinate logistical details for internal team gatherings and volunteer trainings.
- Track, document, and report key metrics to the Communications Director.
- Manage timelines and expectations for each communications project among staff, providing regular project status updates.
- Cultivate relationships with vendors, negotiate pricing and installation details for all creative design and comm projects.
- Build and coordinate weekly emails and other comm channel distributions.
- Distribute churchwide communication plans to staff weekly.
- Proofread and edit various communication pieces as needed.
- Collaborate with comm team to support marketing of sermons, events, and church-wide vision and mission initiatives.
- Receive, review, and organize all incoming project requests from ministry teams in Asana.
- Maintain ownership of Asana project management system.
- Manage Mailchimp and texting platforms.
- Train new staff members in Asana and comm request processes, providing ongoing and periodic training as needed.
- Assist communications team with digital asset management and organization.
- Respond to external communications inquiries and reroute as necessary.
- Prepare for or assist with team meetings and/or planning & brainstorming sessions.
Qualifications
As a religious organization, all employees must agree to conduct themselves in a way that does not undermine or contradict the contents of the church's Doctrinal Statement and Statement on Marriage and human sexuality based upon its sincerely held religious beliefs, to qualify for employment with Northwest Bible Church. This is necessary to accomplish the Church’s religious mission, goals, and purpose.
- Growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and as Lord.
- Degree in Communications, Digital Media, or related field or 3 years professional experience.
- Advanced experience with Asana or similar project management system.
- Detail-oriented and organized planner, able to multitask.
- Ability to be collaborative, receive feedback and work in a team environment.
- Excellent verbal, written, and oral communication skills to clearly explain complicated processes and foster partnerships.
