Job DescriptionThe Commissioner will work over the phone and network with remote installation teams to bring installed energy management systems online. They ensure the proper setup, control, and connection with installed equipment and then confirm the correct data is being transmitted from all devices.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Ensure installations are compliant with all requirements
- Works with other groups as necessary for continuous improvement of processes and training
- Uses extensive system level knowledge of multiple product platforms to ensure proper installation of equipment within customer facilities
- Captures issue and response data in specialized software applications
- Serves as a resource in product design reviews for quality control and reliability
- Must be able to collect and display data in a logical manner
- Teaches and mentors other support and commissioning personnel in troubleshooting techniques
- Works with customers and installation contractors by phone to troubleshoot, assist, and train them with regard to the energy management system
- Participates in cross functional projects as required
- Flexible work schedule
- On call for customer support required (1 week out of approximately every 6-8)
- High school diploma required; college degree preferred
- 3+ years of customer service experience required; telephone call center experience helpful
- Proficient in the use of computers
- Ability to read a drawing or diagram and follow technical instructions
- Working knowledge of electrical, heating or cooling is helpful
- Good oral and written communication skills
