Commercial Strategy Manager (DUO)
Massive Bio is a rapidly growing health-tech startup founded in 2015 to provide every cancer patient with access to clinical trials regardless of their location or financial stability. Our proprietary patient recruitment and enrollment enablement solution for oncology clinical trials solves every point of friction in traditional clinical trial enrollment. Privately held and headquartered in NYC, our passionate changemaker team is looking for a Commercial Strategy Manager to join our team in Istanbul, Turkey. As a member of the Growth team, the Commercial Strategy Manager will be key to focusing on Massive Bio's clinical trial enrollment services and the development of Massive Bio's growth efforts in all markets. The ideal candidate will have experience in Biotech/Pharma and healthcare environments.
Reporting to the VP, Growth, you will:

  • Identify and explore new market opportunities for Massive Bio, with a focus on DUO (Drug Utilization Optimizer) and other innovative commercial products.
  • Conduct thorough market understanding, competitive analysis, and strategic decision-making to capture growth opportunities in the oncology area.
  • Develop and maintain robust strategic partnerships across the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors.
  • Manage negotiations and collaborations to enhance DUO's market penetration and align with Massive Bio’s growth objectives.
  • Focus on improving patient matching with commercialized oncology products by leveraging Massive Bio’s patient surfacing capabilities.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of comprehensive sales and marketing strategies for DUO.
  • Communicate the unique value propositions of DUO to pharmaceutical companies and healthcare providers.
  • Ensure alignment of marketing strategies with overall business goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with the product development team to support the innovation and development of new products and services.
  • Monitor market trends and regulatory changes to ensure Massive Bio’s offerings remain competitive and compliant.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for product enhancements.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for commercial growth activities, with a focus on DUO and other strategic initiatives.
  • Regularly analyze performance data and provide insights and strategic recommendations to senior management.
  • Assemble a specialized team tailored to the strategic needs of DUO’s commercialization and other healthcare initiatives.
  • Identify and recruit talent that aligns with project-specific requirements and growth phases.
  • Train and prepare the account management team with the necessary materials to effectively support and promote the DUO product.


Product-Specific Responsibilities:

  • Lead the launch and commercialization of the DUO product, a drug-matching platform designed to provide real-time actionable insights to pharmaceutical commercial teams.
  • Work closely with the product development team to ensure the DUO product meets the needs of pharmaceutical commercial teams by informing them about eligible patients for their brands.
  • Develop strategies to educate and engage pharmaceutical commercial teams on the use of the DUO product to make timely and effective visits to physicians, capturing prescriptions for their drugs.
  • Coordinate with the marketing team to create targeted campaigns that highlight the benefits and features of the DUO product to pharmaceutical companies.
  • Gather and analyze user feedback to continually improve the DUO product, ensuring it remains user-friendly and effective in providing actionable insights.
  • Provide training and support to pharmaceutical commercial teams using the DUO product to maximize its adoption and effectiveness.
  • Develop and prepare training materials for the account management team to ensure they have the resources needed to effectively support and promote the DUO product.


Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in strategic market expansion, partnership development, and commercial strategy within the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully launching and commercializing healthcare products, with a focus on oncology.
  • Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical market, regulatory environment, and competitive landscape.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and the healthcare system.
  • Excellent communication skills, exceptional strategic thinking, and analytical skills.
  • Proactive, passionate about client work and delivering quality, detail-oriented, comfortable with ambiguity, data-driven, and possessing a growth mindset.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Passion for staying updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in digital marketing and analytics.
  • Native-level proficiency in speaking, writing, and understanding English.
  • Living in Istanbul, preferably on the Asian side.
  • Work location is Kozyatağı, Istanbul; at least 2/3 days a week at the office.
