What You'll Do
- Serve as a day-to-day analytics partner supporting a leading biopharmaceutical organization's commercial and decision sciences teams.
- Analyze large healthcare and pharmaceutical datasets, including claims, prescription, patient, and other secondary data sources, to generate actionable business insights.
- Develop and maintain market performance tracking, brand performance reporting, KPI frameworks, and commercial analytics solutions that inform strategic decision-making.
- Translate business questions into analytical approaches and deliver clear, data-driven recommendations to client stakeholders.
- Work closely with client teams and cross-functional ZS colleagues to execute ongoing analytics programs and address evolving business needs.
- Create dashboards, reports, and presentations that communicate key findings and support brand strategy development.
- Partner with global team members to deliver high-quality analyses and ensure consistent execution across projects.
- Support the development of scalable analytical solutions and best practices that enhance client impact.
- Present insights and recommendations to both client and internal stakeholders.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's or master's degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, economics, engineering, data science, mathematics, operations research, business analytics, or a related discipline.
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare analytics, life sciences consulting, or commercial analytics.
- Hands-on experience working with commercial pharmaceutical data, including secondary data sources such as claims, prescription, patient-level, or other syndicated healthcare datasets.
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical commercial analytics, including brand performance measurement, market landscape analyses, segmentation, KPI development, and business performance tracking.
- Experience translating analytical findings into business recommendations for commercial stakeholders.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with analytical tools such as SQL, SAS, R, Python, Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to effectively engage client audiences.
- Ability to work independently in a client-facing environment while managing multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior consulting experience in a life sciences or healthcare-focused environment.
- Experience supporting pharmaceutical commercial teams, including brand strategy, marketing, market access, sales operations, or decision sciences functions.
- Experience working directly with client stakeholders in an embedded or highly collaborative model.
Location & Travel
Boston, MA. This role requires close collaboration with client stakeholders and regular on-site presence in the Boston area. Candidates should be comfortable working in a hybrid environment and traveling to client locations as needed.
