We are seeking a Commercial Manager to oversee and optimise the commercial, operational, and financial performance of TTP.

This is a strategic and hands-on role, combining day-to-day sales activity with broader responsibilities for business operations, financial oversight, and commercial delivery.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing client relationships, driving revenue growth, overseeing business processes, and supporting the leadership team with financial planning and strategic projects.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and grow commercial partnerships and identify new business opportunities across the media and publishing portfolio.

  • Manage the full sales cycle, from pipeline generation to client relationship management and deal closure.

  • Support financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, invoicing, and reporting on commercial performance and P&L.

  • Streamline and enhance internal processes to improve efficiency and delivery across commercial and operational functions.

  • Collaborate with editorial, marketing, and leadership teams to ensure commercial objectives align with content and partnership goals.

  • Contribute to the development and execution of TTP’s commercial strategy, including identifying new revenue streams and business models.

  • Represent TTP externally at client meetings, conferences, and industry events.

Qualifications and skills

Essential:

  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of financial processes (budgeting, P&L management, reporting).

  • Experience in business development, sales, or client relationship management, preferably in media, publishing, or related sectors.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain trusted client relationships.

  • Highly organised, with a proactive and self-motivated approach to problem solving and task management.

  • Strong analytical skills, with confidence in working with data, CRM systems, and Microsoft Excel.

  • Ability to balance operational duties with longer-term commercial strategy.

Desirable:

  • Interest in international trade, finance, or economic development.

  • Prior experience working within a media, publishing, or B2B information services environment.

  • Knowledge of operational tools and platforms, including invoicing systems and project management tools.

  • Degree or equivalent experience in business, economics, finance, or related fields.

Location

This is a flexible working role, combining remote work with office-based activities in London and up to 5-days a month in Lisbon. International travel may be required.
