Job Responsibilities:

- Oversee and direct Business Development team in safe, quality-minded and productive manner with a sense of urgency to meet or exceed deadlines and customer priorities as scheduled
- Act as the primary point of contact for OEM purchasing and engineering teams.
- Coordinate between engineering, finance and operations to build winning bids by ensuring technical specifications are met while hitting OEM's pricing expectations.
- Present and highlight favorably the divisional capabilities to the customer via professional and persuasive media.
- Oversee the commercial aspect of tooling budgets, ensuring the company is reimbursed by the OEM's according to the agreed milestones.
- Market the division's manufacturing expertise to existing and potential customers in line with business objectives
- Capitalize future business opportunities by thorough understanding and analysis of market trends • Provide reports and information to upper management as required or needed.
- Maintain effective communication and coordination with all internal and external customers, plant management and team members
- Maintain positive employee relations, listen to issues and concerns and respond accordingly.
- Maintain open, honest relationships with fellow team members; treat all team members with dignity and respect without favoritism.
- Ensure compliance with Magna Code of Conduct and Ethics standards. • Follow the principles of the Magna Employee's Charter
- Provide full support to Employee Opinion Survey Action Plan
- Promote and practice "safety first" by immediately addressing any hazards, defective equipment or unsafe conditions within the department
- Maintain and continually facilitate organization and housekeeping standards
- Utilize lessons-learned philosophy in continuous improvement activities
- Provide motivation and results-oriented environment
- Conduct performance evaluations of reporting personnel as specified by company goals
- Ensure all Team Member documentation is maintained
- Lead efforts for departmental training and development, communication and enforcement of company policies and procedures, performance coaching and evaluation, and written documentation of Team Member performance issues
- Recommend measures for continual improvement of quality methods, equipment performance and product quality
- Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist Team Members in solving work problems, including personnel and process issues
- Attend and participate in required meetings
- Encourage safety and housekeeping practices and lead by example; wear PPE at all times • Promote and facilitate Open Door Process without reprisal, effective communication and Fair Treatment Participate in Continual Improvement activities • Complete correspondence, forms and reports in Microsoft Office and other programs
- Handle confidential information on a regular basis; uphold confidentiality and build trust in Management
- Determine, achieve and improve productivity, quality, environmental, health and safety goals
- Adhere to customer requirements, Business Operating System and company policies Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Post secondary education, GED or equivalent experience
- Masters in business administration or equivalent level of technical education and experience preferred
- Minimum of 10+ years of progressively more responsible supervisory / managerial and leadership experience in high volume stamping/welding manufacturing operation
- Trained manufacturing professional • Marketing, Sales, Finance and Business Development experience (preferably in automotive)
