What you'll be doing;

  • Provide full commercial support for the Regional Director and General Managers in the South Management Team.

  • Be responsible for negotiating, securing and managing long term and short term contracts for commercial waste, commercial recyclates an and other ad hoc materials across a range of sites including but not limited to Energy from Waste facilities, Landfill, MRF, compost, RDF and HWRC sites across the South of England.

  • Provide robust market analysis by way of effective benchmarking and performance monitoring of all third party suppliers and subcontractors

  • Oversee third party suppliers due diligence audits are completed in line with company policy and protocols so that Veolia remains compliant at all times

  • Be responsible for the management of a Business Development Executive mainly responsible for sales of compost across a number of compost sites in the South

  • Manage a small administration team (of two) who undertake administrative tasks for landfill, compost and other sites in the Hampshire area.

  • Identify and develop opportunities to grow the business, whether through partnerships, acquisitions or new initiatives and other commercial projects

  • Analyse sales and other reports to give insight on how adjustments can be made, resolving issues with contracts and commercial operations
     

What we're looking for;

  • The Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders

  • Excellent leadership skills

  • Ideally a minimum of three years experience in the waste industry but not essential 

  • Experience of producing and presenting financial models and business plans

  • Strong negotiating skills and business acumen
