JOB SUMMARY
North Risk's Select Service #oneTEAM is currently seeking a driven and experienced Account Manager. As a Select Service Account Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service and managing small business accounts ensuring clients insurance needs are met. You will serve as a primary point of contact for clients providing advice, personalized service, and timely assistance.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with small business clients through understanding, advising, and providing correspondence in a quick and accurate manner
- Act as a trusted insurance professional, answering questions and assisting with plan and/or carrier changes, claims, and billing
- Collaborate with other Account Managers to ensure consistency of processes and procedures across all regions
- Monitor and maintain the Select Service task list in collaboration with the other Account Managers to ensure completion in a quick and accurate manner
- Analyze and develop small business insurance solutions to mitigate risks effectively based on client needs
- Stay informed on trends, advancements, and changes to the regulatory climate for business and the insurance industry
- Attend and actively participate in team, department, and business line meetings
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with partner insurance carriers
- Enter activity and other relevant information into the company's software system(s) in accordance with company procedures
- Follow all federal and state regulations, and best practices regarding errors and omissions
- Collect overdue account receivable balances from customers in accordance with company policy
- Continue professional development; pursue and maintain professional designations if applicable
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities)
- A combination of education and experience generally attained through a high school degree, bachelor’s degree, and a minimum of 2 years in the commercial insurance industry
- Active property & casualty insurance license, or willing to obtain one
- Understanding of small business insurance products
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills, demonstrating ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Perform under normal office conditions; may include lifting/carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds
- Twist, bend, stoop, kneel, squat, stand, walk, and reach frequently
- Hear, speak, and effectively verbally communicate in the English language, including following oral and written instructions to communicate with people inside and outside of the organization
- Sit and a desk for extended periods of time and perform long hours of work sitting at a computer
- Move around office/building/facilities repeatedly throughout the day
- Apply manual dexterity, visual acuity and ability, for computer keyboarding, office equipment uses, review of detailed reports, information, fine print, and warning labels
- Must possess valid driver’s license and be able to travel to different North Risk Partners locations for meetings, as well as various locations throughout the state and potentially the region for client meetings
- Able to work a flexible work schedule, including overtime, nights, and weekends to attend events and meetings as needed
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED
Incumbents must be able to use telephones, calculators, copy machines, computers, printers, and other office equipment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment is primarily indoors. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is $52,000 - $70,000 annually, plus benefits. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The hiring range represents the company’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Skills Required
- Minimum of 2 years in the commercial insurance industry (combination of education and experience acceptable)
- High school diploma or bachelor's degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
