About This Role:
As the Director of Commercial Learning and Development, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the commercial capability strategy within our organization. You will partner with Commercial Leadership to translate business priorities into scalable learning and performance solutions that enhance field execution and drive impactful business results. You will be integral in defining and executing a comprehensive learning strategy that supports launch readiness, strengthens field effectiveness, and adapts to market dynamics. As a trusted advisor, you will leverage data and industry best practices to create innovative learning ecosystems that combine traditional and digital approaches, ensuring organizational efficiency.
What You’ll Do:
Lead the development and execution of a strategic learning plan aligned with commercial objectives and franchise priorities.
Serve as the senior learning advisor to Commercial Leadership, impacting field effectiveness and business performance.
Establish a capability roadmap to advance product knowledge, selling skills, and customer engagement excellence.
Provide oversight for onboarding, continuous development, and launch readiness across field teams.
Build executive-level partnerships and influence organizational priorities to drive strategic initiatives.
Champion a culture of continuous learning and performance excellence across commercial teams.
Design and implement innovative learning solutions that enhance performance and time-to-productivity.
Utilize performance consulting methodologies to assess challenges and identify interventions.
Lead, coach, and develop high-performing learning professionals fostering collaboration and innovation.
Partner closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business priorities and compliance standards.

Required Skills:
Bachelor's degree required: advanced degree preferred
10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or related commercial roles.
5+ years of leadership experience in commercial learning and talent development.
Proven track record in product launch and launch readiness leadership.
Expertise in performance consulting, instructional design, and capability development methodologies.
Strong analytical skills and experience translating data into strategic recommendations.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in Specialty, Immunology, or complex therapeutic areas.
Experience with AI-enabled learning and performance support solutions.
Success in building scalable capability models across franchises or customer-facing functions.
Leadership in field effectiveness, account management, or commercial excellence initiatives.

Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.
