We are currently looking for an Executive Manager in Technology Supplier and vendor management who will be responsible for leading the supplier team, ensuring a proactive and strategic approach to supplier relationships, commercial management, and vendor performance. This role will drive supplier partnerships that align with business priorities such as strategy, cost optimization, and innovation.
The successful candidate will be accountable for managing the supplier roadmap, eliminating silos across business units, and ensuring effective governance throughout the supplier lifecycle. They will work closely with internal stakeholders to embed a performance-driven culture, holding suppliers accountable at both the contracting stage and ongoing governance sessions.
Key Responsibilities
Supplier Strategy & Roadmap
Develop and maintain a strategic supplier roadmap that aligns with business priorities.
Drive a proactive supplier management approach, ensuring commercial and contractual alignment with long-term business objectives.
Identify opportunities to consolidate and optimize supplier engagements to reduce complexity and cost.
Commercial & Contract Management
Lead the commercial team and partner with the BU CIOs and their team to maximise value from our supplier’s ensuring alignment to technology Strategy.
Ensure commercial terms include clear performance expectations, risk management provisions, and cost efficiency measures.
Work closely with procurement and legal teams to embed supplier accountability upfront in contracts.
Supplier Performance & Governance
Own the end-to-end vendor performance framework, driving continuous improvement.
Conduct monthly and quarterly governance sessions to track supplier performance, resolve issues, and implement improvement plans.
Identify underperforming suppliers and develop action plans to address gaps.
Stakeholder & Business Engagement
Collaborate with technology, procurement, finance, and business unit leaders to ensure supplier engagements are aligned with business needs.
Act as the central point of contact for supplier escalations, resolving issues and ensuring strategic alignment.
Promote a culture of partnership between the business and suppliers to drive innovation and efficiency.
Skills & Experience Required
Proven experience leading a procurement, supplier management, or commercial function, ideally within a technology or IT environment.
Strong commercial acumen with expertise in contract negotiation, supplier governance, and cost management.
Deep understanding of technology supplier ecosystems, with the ability to manage and optimize supplier relationships.
Ability to navigate and eliminate business silos, fostering collaboration across multiple stakeholders.
Experience in driving vendor performance and accountability through structured governance and improvement plans.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and drive change.
Preferred Experience
Experience working in a technology procurement or supplier lifecycle function.
Knowledge of technology suppliers, including market trends, key players, and innovation opportunities.
Experience working in a complex enterprise environment with multiple business units and vendor partnerships.
