A Brief Overview
Commercial Insurance Specialists are responsible for the Bank's commercial loan insurance tracking portfolio. This position follows established lending policies and procedures. Commercial Insurance Specialists are multi-functional, customer-oriented individuals who rely on instructions and pre-established procedures to perform the functions of this job. Commercial Insurance Specialists report to the department supervisor.
What you will do
- Review business asset insurance policies that cover the bank's UCC filings.
- Manage the force placed insurance process on commercial loans that have cancelled, expired, or no insurance.
- Track and obtain insurance coverage on all builder's risk insurance policies on construction loans.
- Prompt Insurance agent follow-up to obtain proof of insurance on all Commercial insurance policies.
- Track and obtain proof of insurance on all vehicle loans.
- Adhere to Bank policies and procedures as well as industry regulations.
- Assist with Loan Officer and Loan Assistant requests related to commercial loans.
- Perform other duties as necessary to assist the Escrow/Insurance Supervisor.
Other Qualifications/Requirements
- Associate’s Degree and minimum 5 years commercial insurance preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
