Are you a recent graduate looking to launch your career in sales? We’re hiring an Inside Commercial Sales Representative to join our team. In this role, you’ll work alongside our sales team to identify and generate new business opportunities within the commercial truck industry while building valuable sales experience and developing your professional skills.


Position Summary: 

The Commercial Inside Sales Representative is responsible for generating new business and expanding existing commercial accounts through outbound calling, lead follow-up, relationship building, quoting, and coordination with the sales, parts, service departments, FVS and Fleet One.  

This role focuses on selling commercial vehicles, parts, service labor, preventative maintenance programs, mobile service solutions, FVS Upfits, and Fleet One Services to businesses and fleet customers.  

Post-service follow-up calls to improve the customer experience and provide real time feedback to departments. (Parts and Service Customers) 

Success in this position requires strong phone communication, follow-up discipline, active pipeline management, and the ability to understand commercial customer needs and recommend customized solutions that improve uptime and operational efficiency. 


Key Responsibilities 


Sales & Business Development 

Conduct outbound calls, prospecting campaigns, and follow-up to generate new commercial accounts 

Identify opportunities to sell commercial vehicles, parts programs, service work, mobile service offerings, FVS Up-fits, and Fleet One offerings 

Maintain a consistent and structured weekly call cadence to build and grow relationships with decisionmakers 

Qualifying prospects, uncover needs, and recommend solutions aligned with customer operating requirements  

Manage inbound leads and respond quickly with accurate information, quotes, and support 

Build proposals and quotes for commercial customers, coordinating with sales, parts, and service leaders 





Account Management & Customer Support 

  • Prospect to introduce all Valley offerings across all rooftops, improve market awareness, customer retention, and revenue growth. 

  • Provide lead generation in partnership with all Valley offerings 

  • Promote preventative maintenance programs, fleet service scheduling, and mobile service dispatch capability 

  • Track open quotes, open RO status, and upcoming needs to proactively support accounts. 

  • Conduct post-service follow-up calls to ensure satisfaction and capture additional opportunities to improve the customer experience. 







Internal Collaboration 

  • Work closely with outside commercial sales reps (Vehicles & Parts) , fleet managers, service departments & advisors, FVS and Fleet One to coordinate account strategy 

  • Support service department scheduling for fleet customers by securing authorizations and repair approvals 

  • Communicate customer requirements and feedback to internal leadership for continuous improvement 



Pipeline & Reporting 

  • Maintain/develop accurate CRM records of activity, opportunities, and customer communications 

  • Track weekly call volume, appointments, quotes, dose ratios, and revenue results 

  • Participate in weekly commercial team meetings and performance reviews 



Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) 


  • Outbound calls and scheduled appointments per week 

  • Quote-to-close conversion rate 

  • Total commercial revenue growth across vehicles, parts, service, mobile service, FVS, and Fleet One 

  • Customer retention and repeat business rate 

  • PM program growth and mobile service utilization 

  • Call follow-up compliance and CRM accuracy 

Qualifications
  • Recent college graduate with a degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Communications, or a related field preferred
  • Strong interest in building a career in sales and developing customer relationships
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Confident, personable, and comfortable speaking with customers and prospective clients
  • Motivated, goal-oriented, and driven to achieve results
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple leads and priorities
  • Comfortable making outbound calls, generating leads, and initiating conversations with prospective customers
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn CRM and sales technology
  • Previous sales, customer service, internship, or related experience is a plus, but not required
