Remote: This position does not require employee to be on-site full-time to perform most effectively. The employee's role enables them to work off-site on a permanent basis.

The GM Energy Commercial Energy Sales Manager, North Central Region, will be responsible for introducing Fleet and Commercial customers to GM Energy's products and services for the EV ecosystem. This role will work hand-in-hand with GM Envolve to support the sales of EVs and provide the solutions (i.e., charging station, storage, software, installation, services) that accompany the electric vehicle. This role will also act as the voice of the customer, bringing customer feedback and data into the product team for review and inclusion into the product roadmap.
The Commercial Energy Sales Manager will:
- Be the face of GM Energy to Fleet and Commercial customers within their region
- Partner with the regional GM Envolve (fleet) Account Executive to grow the GM customer relationship by supporting their EV transition through energy offerings, bringing further resiliency and customer satisfaction
- Originate, plan, and execute sales relating to fleet electrification, commercial storage and other energy projects that drive revenue growth
- Partner with SME's (Subject Matter Experts) to bring additional value and support for complex solutions
- Be empathetic to customer pain points and bring a collaborative solutions mindset to every engagement
- Work closely with others in GM Energy to ensure integration of these projects with broader energy efforts in GM Energy and across GM, including but not limited to bidirectional charging, V2H, V2L, V2G, microgrids and other advanced V2X functions
- Support the development of the associated business strategies and GTM channels by representing the Voice of the Customer
- Leverage Salesforce consistently to track leads, create opportunities, and close contracts
Additional Description
Qualifications:
- Experience developing and closing sales >$1M
- 3-7+ years experience in an electrification-based role
- Passion for energy and the decarbonization movement
- Ability to quickly understand and empathize with customer pain points
- Leverages expertise and is comfortable leading conversations that lead to implementing effective solutions
- Prioritizes customers to ensure satisfaction with a product, service or solution
- Experience developing projects that incorporate various products, software, and services
- Excellent at qualifying and consulting with customers
- Masterful at communicating internally and with customers to drive the solution scope forward by removing barriers and highlighting pathways towards a win/closed deal
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams) and Salesforce
