Job Overview:
GrizzlyTrek is currently seeking one Commercial Diver to join our Valued Clients team in the Alberta region. This is a contract position, ideally suited to an individual committed to excellence and safety in challenging environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform underwater construction, maintenance, and inspection tasks
  • Operate marine equipment including boats, barges, and dredges
  • Follow all company and industry safety standards and procedures
  • Conduct Field Level Risk Assessments (FLRA)
  • Report and assist in resolving hazards, incidents, and near-misses
  • Complete additional duties as assigned by supervisors

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Diver Certification Board of Canada (DCBC) certification
  • Marine Emergency Duties (MED) A3 or SDV-BS certification
  • Small Vessel Operator Proficiency (SVOP)
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Current, physician-approved diver medical certification
  • Minimum 3 years of marine equipment operation experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in underwater industrial or construction environments
  • Willingness to travel and work on varied project schedules

Work Environment:

  • Work in underwater and marine environments with limited visibility
  • Exposure to rough waters, weather conditions, and physical hazards
  • Interaction with teams, clients, and subcontractors in dynamic settings
