We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Commercial Access Account Manager to manageand grow relationships with established commercial customers. This position serves as the primary point ofcontact for assigned accounts and manages opportunities from the initial project request through ordercommitment and operational handoff.
The ideal candidate can balance relationship management, sales execution, project coordination, and detailed follow-up in a fast-paced, project-based environment.
Requirements
- Manage and grow a portfolio of commercial customer accounts.
- Develop strong relationships with customer contacts and key decision-makers.
- Understand each customer’s business, project needs, purchasing process, and growth opportunities.
- Manage opportunities from initial inquiry through quote, order commitment, and purchase order.
- Gather project information, including drawings, elevations, photographs, specifications, site conditions, and installation requirements.
- Coordinate with Quoting, CAD, Engineering, Project Management, Manufacturing, and Operations.
- Review and present proposals, pricing, project scope, timelines, assumptions, and exclusions.
- Maintain consistent follow-up on open quotes, customer decisions, and outstanding project information.
- Keep CRM records, opportunity stages, project values, close dates, and follow-up activities accurate and current.
- Maintain an accurate pipeline and revenue forecast for assigned accounts.
- Identify opportunities to expand business into additional products, locations, branches, and project teams.
- Recognize project risks, compliance requirements, and potential schedule impacts before an order is finalized.
- Provide complete and accurate project handoffs to Project Management and Operations.
- Remain engaged throughout project execution as the owner of the customer relationship.
Qualifications
- Five or more years of experience in account management, business-to-business sales, construction sales, building products, or project-based sales.
- Proven ability to manage multiple customers, quotes, and projects simultaneously.
- Strong written, verbal, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience using CRM software and maintaining accurate opportunity records.
- Ability to discuss pricing, scope, timelines, and commercial terms with customers.
- Ability to read and interpret basic construction drawings, elevations, and project specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and consistent follow-through.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across Sales, Project Management, Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, and Finance.
Preferred Experience
- Commercial construction, accessibility products, modular buildings, ramps, platforms, stairs, railings, canopies, or related building products.
- Experience working with general contractors, modular building companies, architects, dealers, or government customers.
- Experience with HubSpot, ERP systems, quoting platforms, or construction project management software.
- Familiarity with ADA compliance standards, accessibility regulations, and building codes.
- Experience coordinating with installation crews, subcontractors, or field service teams.
- Background in estimating, takeoffs, or reviewing construction bid documents.
- Experience managing long sales cycles and multi-phase commercial projects.
- Knowledge of contract terms, purchase orders, and commercial sales agreements.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or made-to-order product environment.
- Ability to analyze project profitability, margins, and cost drivers.
- Experience supporting multi-location or national account customers.

Location: Valley Cottage, NY (Hybrid) 4 days in office, 1 day remote
Salary: The salary range for this position is $80,000-$90,000 USD annually.
