Help Homeowners Make the Right HVAC Decision

John Nugent & Sons is looking for an experienced HVAC Comfort Advisor to meet with homeowners, understand their heating and cooling needs, and recommend the right replacement options.

This is a consultative sales role built around company-generated opportunities. You’ll work with customers who have already expressed a need, evaluate their current system, explain available options, and guide them through equipment, financing, warranty, and installation considerations.

You’ll be supported by experienced service, installation, customer service, and operations teams, so you can focus on providing accurate recommendations and closing business.

We’re looking for someone who communicates well, follows up consistently, and knows how to build trust without relying on high-pressure tactics.

What You’ll Do
  • Meet with homeowners to assess HVAC replacement needs.
  • Review existing equipment and discuss comfort, efficiency, and budget priorities.
  • Recommend appropriate heating, cooling, and indoor air quality solutions.
  • Present equipment, financing, warranty, and installation options.
  • Prepare accurate proposals and explain recommendations clearly.
  • Follow up on open estimates and pending decisions.
  • Coordinate with service and installation teams after the sale.
  • Maintain accurate customer notes, proposals, and sales activity.
  • Stay current on products, promotions, financing, and available equipment options.
What We’re Looking For
  • Previous HVAC, home improvement, or in-home sales experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Comfortable discussing technical options with homeowners.
  • Strong follow-up and organization skills.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working toward sales goals.
  • Professional and customer-focused approach.
  • Comfortable using CRM systems, tablets, and digital sales tools.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
