Organization & Team Overview
The Public Policy team is responsible for developing public policy positions on issues important to the company. The Public Policy team consists of internal and external thought leaders on issues related to technology media and telecom (TMT) and serves as internal consultants to the government affairs teams.
Job Responsibilities
Intern responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Interns will research and write on a variety of policy and regulatory issues related to technology, media, and telecom (TMT).
- Candidates can expect to prepare briefing memos, talking points, comment summaries, and other written material, and may have opportunities to attend conferences and other events outside of the office.
- Interns will work with management to determine the impact of federal actions on the organization
- Develop presentations and other written materials on findings
- Act as an internal consultant to the government affairs teams
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- Candidates should have a demonstrated interest in technology, media and telecom (TMT) law and policy.
- They must also be highly motivated self-starters, well-organized, detail-orientated
- Able to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to handle multiple assignments, meet tight deadlines
- Ability to make decisions relying upon sound judgment.
- Strong research and writing skills required.
- Available to work 15-20 hours per week over the course of the 8-12 week spring semester
- Start date is flexible, but after New Years Day holiday.
Minimum Qualifications and Eligibility Requirements
- Applicants must be enrolled as a 2L, 3L, or 4L student pursuing a J.D. from a US-based college or university; or enrolled as a graduate student pursuing a Master's in Public Policy or similar from a US-based college or University (must have a graduation date between Winter 2026- Spring 2028)
- Returning to degree-program (for at least a semester) after the completion of the summer internship (meaning, student must be returning to school for Fall 2026 semester before graduating)
- Available to work 15-20 hours per week over the course of the 8-12 week spring semester
- Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs
- Available to report in-person to the work location on the job posting (unless virtual offering)

Base Pay: $50.00Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a Commission under the terms of an applicable plan, while most non-sales positions are eligible for a Bonus.
