As a Combustion Engineer at Honeywell, in the Midlands, you will be responsible for performing equipment start-ups, commissioning, and scheduled maintenance activities at customer sites along with diagnosing and resolving technical issues through effective problem-solving and troubleshooting. This is a field-based role, with travel across the region and the UK as required with overnight stays.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting engineering activities to achieve on-site installation, commissioning, servicing and repair processes of complex equipment and systems, working independently at times.
  • Prepare site visit reports and maintain time sheets for submission to clients.
  • You will drive continuous improvement initiatives in the processes related to field services and product development.
  • You will support cross-functional groups to quickly fix any administrative difficulties relating to delivery and installation of proper equipment. You will act as an escalation point for Field Service Specialists, Service Engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • To ensure that the Company Health and Safety Policy is adhered to, actively promoting a safe working environment.
Qualifications
  • Previous combustion engineeering experience working with process gas and oil burners.
  • Good knowledge of mechanical systems including industrial installation experience (plumbing, pipework, hydraulics)
  • Ability to read and understand P&IDs, and electrical schematics.
  • Commercial Gas certification (COCN1, TPCP1, CCN1, CIGA1, CORT1 & CDGA1, ICPN1) 
  • Able to work confidently on their own initiative as well as a part of a team.
