What we are looking for:
We are looking for a hands-on Collibra Engineer / Specialist to join our data governance and engineering team, focused on enabling advanced technical integration and configuration within the Collibra platform. This is a technical role working alongside data engineers, focused on delivering Collibra capabilities through API-level integration and automation — not on policy, change management, or framework development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with data engineers to build and extend technical integrations with the Collibra platform.
- Automate metadata ingestion and lineage using Collibra APIs and Connectors.
- Develop custom workflows, assets, and business rules within Collibra to meet business requirements.
- Implement solutions that enhance platform usability and adoption from a technical perspective.
- Contribute to a robust, scalable Collibra architecture that supports enterprise data governance capabilities.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Hands-on experience with Collibra technical configuration and development, especially around API integration and customisation.
- Proficiency in REST APIs, JSON, and scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for automation and integration tasks.
- Experience working directly with data engineering teams to align metadata ingestion and governance requirements.
- Familiarity with data cataloguing, lineage, and metadata management concepts.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues within Collibra.
Desirable:
- Experience with Collibra Data Intelligence Platform, Edge, or Data Quality modules.
- Previous exposure to Snowflake, Talend, or cloud-native data ecosystems.
- Experience in large enterprise or federated data governance environments
- Understanding of enterprise data governance goals, but with a focus on technical delivery rather than change management.
