Help protect Vanguard and our investors through a career in cybersecurity and risk. As a Risk & Security Analyst intern in Vanguard’s College to Corporate (C2C) Internship Program, you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting the teams that safeguard our systems, data, and clients.
This immersive internship combines real-world project work, mentorship, and structured development to help you build technical, analytical, and business skills while developing foundational leadership capabilities in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
In this internship you will:
- Support efforts to identify, assess, and mitigate cybersecurity and operational risks
- Analyze potential threats, vulnerabilities, and fraud-related activity
- Assist in developing reports, dashboards, or insights that support risk-informed decision-making
- Partner with security, technology, and business teams to strengthen controls and processes
- Gain exposure to cybersecurity frameworks, risk management practices, and digital ethics
- Collaborate with Agile teams to contribute to ongoing initiatives and solutions
- Build connections with peers, mentors, and leaders across Vanguard
- Receive ongoing coaching and feedback to support your development
What it takes:
- Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Risk, or a related field
- Interest in cybersecurity, threat analysis, risk management, or fraud prevention
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
- Curiosity about how systems can be protected and improved
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher preferred
