ITTConnect is seeking a Collector & Foreclosure Specialist for a direct-hire full time position with a client that is a large financial institution.
Job location: Miami, FL, fully onsite.
The Collector & Foreclosure Specialist primarily functions as a collector, which includes contacting borrowers regarding past due loans. In addition, this function will assist the Team Leader by drafting demand letters, contacting the Bank's attorneys (either in-house or external), produce reports, and participate on projects as designated by the Team Leaders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing severely past due loans thru the foreclosure process.
- Tracking foreclosure sales while providing detailed reporting to Management.
- Acting as the conduit between the Bank, the borrower, and the Bank's attorneys.
- Review and submitting invoices representing the Bank attorneys' fees.
- Maintain and understand the requirements of FDCPA.
- Outbound / Inbound calls to and from delinquent borrowers.
- Resolve past due loans while minimizing risk.
- Maintain and update calling activities within the designated system.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 of relevant experience.
- In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and investor requirements related to foreclosure
- Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance requirements, including AML, BSA and Bank Secrecy Act.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to interpret financial information and client needs.
- Proven ability to manage complex foreclosure cases and resolve escalated issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Must be fluent in Spanish. Portuguese is a plus.
