1. Use your deep technical understanding to contribute to the architectural design for the product. 
2. Contributing to defining the product roadmap and supporting end-to-end delivery of product releases & communication with different stakeholders 
3. Build software products for banking and financing institutions with R&D teams that are openly collaborative, are non-hierarchical, respect contributions and work with agility 
4. Enable, empower, and encourage teams for continuous improvement of technology and processes 
5. Challenging and supporting people and engineering practices to improve the quality of product 
6. Supporting governance of product team to ensure quality and efficiency of solutions 
7. Act as a mentor to the team and reinforce
8. Total Experience Expected: 06-08 years

Minimum Qualifications 

1. Payments Processing & Operations:
2. Handle end-to-end processing of SEPA credit transfers (SCT), SEPA direct debits (SDD), SWIFT, and Target2 transactions.
3. Ensure smooth execution of cross-border and domestic payments, including urgent and high-value transactions.
4. Monitor and resolve payment failures, reconciliation issues, and exception handling.
5. Card Payments & Issuing/Acquiring:
6. Manage and support credit and debit card transactions, ensuring compliance with card network regulations (Visa, Mastercard, etc.).
7. Work with issuing and acquiring banks, payment gateways, and processors to optimize card payment flows.
8. Handle chargeback processing, fraud management, and dispute resolution.
9. ISO 8583 message knowledge will be good.

Compliance & Regulatory Adherence:

1. Ensure payments and card operations comply with EU regulations, PSD2, AML, and SWIFT guidelines.
2. Keep up to date with changes in regulatory frameworks such as EPC (European Payments Council), SEPA Instant Payments, and CBPR+ for SWIFT ISO 20022 migration.

Technology & Process Improvement:

1. Collaborate with IT teams to enhance payment processing systems, including SOAP and REST API integrations for instant payments.
2. Support the adoption of ISO 20022 messaging standards for enhanced data-rich payments.
3. Drive automation and efficiency improvements in payment workflows.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

1. Experience: Minimum 6-8 years of experience in payments, banking, or fintech.

Technical Knowledge:

1. Deep understanding of SEPA (SCT, SDD, Instant Payments), Target2, SWIFT (MT/MX), and card payment networks.
2. Familiarity with ISO 20022 standards, clearing & settlement systems, and correspondent banking.
3. Exposure to payment processing platforms, fraud detection tools, and regulatory reporting.

Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualification:

1. Bachelor's or higher engineering degree in Computer Science, or related technical field, or equivalent additional professional experience.  
2. The candidate should possess very good experience as a Mainframe developer and Individual Contributor.
3. It is essential to understand that the analyst is flexible and willing to learn the domain and tech stack in addition to Oracle/Cobol to build a broad support skill set.
4. Ability to prepare technical design from functional specifications
5. Ability to perform thorough impact analysis for the functional/technical design
6. Strong development experience involved in COBOL, DB2, VSAM, etc.
7. Involved in Integration /system testing, production implementation
8. Experienced in performing code review; Responsible for mentoring their team.
