The Role
Responsibilities
1. Client Team Integration
- Act as an active member of the GNP technical team under a Staff Augmentation model.
- Align with client processes, tools, and standards.
- Participate in operational meetings, planning sessions, and follow-ups.
2. Application Support & Maintenance
- Provide technical support for Mainframe-based applications.
- Handle incidents and service requests effectively.
- Ensure the stability and continuity of mission-critical systems.
3. Mainframe Development
- Develop and maintain COBOL programs.
- Create and update batch processes using JCL.
- Implement enhancements and fixes in existing applications.
4. Technical Analysis & Troubleshooting
- Analyze failures in batch and online processes (CICS).
- Perform transaction tracing and log analysis.
- Ensure data integrity within DB2 environments.
5. Collaboration & Coordination
- Work closely with technical, functional, and business teams.
- Escalate critical issues when needed.
- Participate in regular operational follow-ups.
6. Documentation & Compliance
- Document developments, incidents, and solutions.
- Keep technical documentation up to date.
- Ensure compliance with audit and IT governance standards.
7. Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and system performance.
- Propose enhancements to increase stability and efficiency.
