We are looking for a SR Cobol Developer to join our team in the Operations area on an important banking project. This position requires full-time availability and availability to go to the office 2 or 3 times a week.
What are we looking for?
- Advanced student or graduate of Systems Engineering or a similar degree.
- Experience working with COBOL z/OS BATCH.
- Experience working with JCL.
- Knowledge of programming in COBOL CICS ONLINE language (Desirable)
- Knowledge of VSAM, CICS file management (Desirable)
- Knowledge of DB2 utilities.
- Good communication skills and teamwork.
- Internal customer service orientation.
- Ability to adapt to change and solve problems.
Main tasks:
- Diagnose and resolve problems with the solution's programs and utilities.
- Prepare and correct software elements based on COBOL programming and/or z/OS utilities.
- Compile programs and debug errors
- Generate detailed process specifications documenting inputs, outputs and program logic.
- Generate test case documentation.
- Perform unit and integration tests between the different components of the solution.
- Adhere to established standards, regarding the preparation of programs and their documentation.
- Participate in the development of programs, ensuring that they accurately conform to design specifications.
- Participate in the optimization of resources used and execution and response times
