Complete instruction programs combining job related college credit courses with structured on-the-job learning experiences. The goal is to provide Apprentices with an education and advanced skill sets that meet the specific needs of LMT Onsrud CNC Tool and Cutter Grinder Program.
DUTIES:- Learn to setup and run CNC grinding machines (Anca, Walter, Saacke)
- Spend part of each day on the job training and attending assigned college courses.
- Maintain academic, and attendance requirements of the Apprenticeship Program.
- Work under the Trainer’s and Supervisor’s guidance.
- Regular goals and reviews: 30 days, 45 days, reviews according to assigned goals.
- Mathematic skills: basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and measurement skills.
- Stand or walk throughout the shift.
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn quickly.
- Prior machining experience or exposure is a plus.
- Attention to details.
- Team player.
- Reliable.
- Training in assigned shifts throughout apprenticeship.
- High School Graduate or GED.
EXPERIENCE:
- Familiar with Microsoft Office is a plus.
