CNC Programmer/Operator- Grand Prairie, TX
Available Shifts: Day Shift, Monday- Friday
Pay Rate: $33.65 Hourly
As an Engineering CNC Programmer/Operator, you will be responsible for the setup, calibration, and operation of machining equipment used to produce or modify parts or products. Works from verbal or written instructions, diagrams, or models. Inspects machining operations and finished product against specified tolerances using precision measuring tools. Determines and corrects minor machine malfunctions. Performs routine maintenance and cleaning. Typically requires a high school education or equivalent and two to four years of experience. This position will report to the Engineering Manager.
. Primary Responsibilities
- Setting tool length for 3 & 5 axis CNC Equipment.
- Setting and changing coordinate system for 3 & 5 axis CNC Equipment.
- Loading programs for 3 & 5 axis CNC Equipment.
- Restarting program in middle of program for 3 & 5 axis CNC Equipment.
- Face/drill 3 axis using MDI for 3 & 5 axis CNC Equipment.
- Estimate appropriate feeds and speeds based on material and tolerance requirements for 3 & 5 axis CNC Equipment.
- Change clamping and fixturing as necessary to the job requirements for 3 & 5 axis CNC Equipment.
- Familiarity with manual machining for secondary processes such as deburring, knurling.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience with CNC equipment operations.
- Minimum education High School Diploma or equivalent general education diploma.
- 3 and 5 axes mill, and router experience preferred.
- G-code programming experience preferred.
- Waterjet setup and operating experience preferred.
- CAM software (Surf Cam, Mastercam, CATIA CAM preferred) knowledge a plus.
- Experience with post processor modifications desired.
- CAD modeling experience desired (CATIA, Inventor).
