Position Summary

Waiteco Machine (WCO), a CMT company, is seeking a CNC Programmer for our Devens, MA location. The CNC Programmer develops programs, tool paths, and posts them in support of the machining efforts on small hardware, jigs, fixtures, and large tooling components for the aerospace and defense industries. *This position works Monday through Friday from 6:30am - 3:00pm. The salary range for this position is between $95,000 - $115,000 depending on experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Reading and interpreting technical blueprints and design models.
• Inputting the product design into the computer modeling software.
• Programming and adjusting the machine settings until the desired specifications are met.
• Choosing and loading the correct cutting tools for the job.
• Adjusting machine settings to the desired product specifications.
• Troubleshooting issues during the manufacturing process.
• Completing quality control tests during the manufacturing stage and on the final product.
• Training staff on the operation procedures.
• Creating instructions for operators/setup personnel.
• Checking completed programs by running simulations or tests.
• Analyzing and selecting feeds & speeds.

Experience, Qualifications, and Skills

• High School/GED or equivalent education is required.
• 5+ years of experience in CNC Programming is required.
• 5+ years of experience with MasterCam software is required.
• Must be mechanically inclined and have the ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Aerospace experience a plus!
