Holtec International seeks qualified applicants for the position of CNC Programmer at its manufacturing and production facilities in Camden, NJ. The CNC Programmer will be responsible for developing, modifying, and optimizing CNC machine programs to produce complex, high-precision quality parts. This role requires strong technical expertise in CNC programming, machining processes, and CAD/CAM software to ensure the highest quality and efficiency in manufacturing operations.
The CNC Programmer will work closely with the engineering and production teams to translate design specifications into machine instructions while ensuring accuracy, process efficiency, and adherence to quality standards.
The candidate’s principal activities will consist of Blueprint Analysis: Thoroughly review engineering drawings and blueprints to interpret design specifications accurately. Program Development: Create and modify CNC programs using CAD/CAM software to generate precise machine codes for cutting paths. Machine Setup & Validation: Collaborate with production teams to execute pre-job briefings, select appropriate tooling and fixturing, and validate machining processes. Troubleshooting & Optimization: Identify and resolve programming errors, machine malfunctions, and tooling-related issues, continuously improving program efficiency and productivity. Technical Support: Provide guidance to CNC operators regarding program execution, machine operations, and product quality assurance.
Minimum Technical Requirements:
- Strong understanding of CNC machining processes, including milling and turning.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, SigmaNEST, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD.
- Experience with interpreting and understanding G-code and M-code programs.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
- Solid knowledge of machining materials, tooling, and cutting techniques.
- Strong mathematical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Desirable Additional Qualifications: Prior experience in a high-precision manufacturing environment. Knowledge of advanced machining techniques and automation processes. Familiarity with Holtec’s manufacturing procedures and quality standards.
