Purpose

The Programmer is responsible for evaluating jobs, providing DFM feedback, creating a manufacturing plan, and generating programs for active jobs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Program standard work as assigned by the Manager or Team Lead. 
  • Create effective processes and manufacturing plans. 
  • Provide technical insights on design for manufacturing (DFM) and quoting. 
  • Supply programs and all necessary setup information to the production team. 
  • Collaborate with the production team to optimize programs and minimize inefficiencies. 
  • Support and troubleshoot issues throughout the entire manufacturing process. 
  • When necessary, assist with quality verification and difficult-to-check features. 
  • Maintain Arcamed’s standard manufacturing processes.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Credentials and Experience: 

  • Minimum of Associates degree in Machining, Manufacturing, or related field OR 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with Mastercam 2025 and Amada Fab Software.
  • Experience working with multi-axis machining centers and other machine tools
  • Working knowledge of all quality inspection tools including but not limited to comparators, calipers, micrometers, and CMM operation
  • Excellent working knowledge of cutting tools, speed and feeds, and machining strategy
  • Ability to read blueprints with complex GD&T callouts
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow documentation requirements
  • Willingness to practice all safe machine operation and wear proper safety equipment when necessary
  • Good knowledge of process flow and routings
  • Willingness and desire to continually use and adopt new innovative technologies, including artificial intelligence.

Skills Required
