Develop and implement CNC programs for multi-axis machining, estimate costs, define processes, design fixturing in CAD, set up and operate machines, troubleshoot and improve programs, mentor technicians, support project documentation and testing.

  • Participate in test or project events as assigned by Project Manager or Engineering supervisor
  • Report project status and results
  • CAD development and modeling of fixturing
  • Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, 3D CAD models and customer specifications
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and modify programs to improve quality and efficiency
  • Support technicians during prove-out of new programs
  • Mentor and educate technicians and other programmers
  • Other duties as assigned

RequirementsEducation/Training: 
  • Associate’s Degree in management or technical/scientific discipline preferred
Experience:
  • 5+ years highly preferred
  • Mastercam experience preferred
  • Understanding of AS9100, ISO9001, or similar quality standards
  • Experience programming 3-,4- and/or 5+ axis CNC machining centers
  • Experience operating 3-,4- and/or 5+ axis CNC machining centers
Security:
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required
Physical Requirements:
  • Able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach with hands and arms, grasp, handle and operate hand/power tools and machine controls
  • Perform frequent wrist, hand, and finger movements
  • Prolonged periods of computer screen use, while sitting or standing at a desk
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing appropriate safety gear (e.g., eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, etc.) for the assigned task
  • Able to safely lift and carry up to 20 pounds at a time

Salary: 

The projected salary range for this position is $67,000-$85,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation, rather actual salary will be based on experience, qualifications, and applicable certifications or degrees held. Offered salary may fall outside of this range.

Skills Required

  • Associate's Degree in management or technical/scientific discipline
