Euclid, Ohio | $90,000–$115,000/year | Full-Time | Onsite

Improve the Process. Solve the Problem. Make Manufacturing Better.

At Elmet Technologies, Process Engineers don’t work at a distance from manufacturing. They work where engineering decisions become real production results.

We’re hiring a CNC Process Engineer for our Euclid, Ohio facility to develop, oversee, and improve manufacturing processes supporting our high-performance metals products, including tungsten and molybdenum. You’ll work closely with Operations, Quality, and employees on the manufacturing floor to solve production problems, improve yield and capability, introduce new equipment and processes, and make sure manufacturing documentation accurately reflects how products are actually made.

This is a strong opportunity for an engineer who likes combining technical analysis with hands-on problem-solving.

What’s In It for You

Elmet offers competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and the opportunity to develop your career in advanced materials manufacturing.

  • $90,000–$115,000 annual salary
  • Benefits starting Day One

  • Company-paid life insurance
  • Company-paid short-term and long-term disability
  • 4% company match on retirement savings
  • Paid time off
  • Paid company holidays
  • Tuition assistance
  • Professional development opportunities
  • Internal career growth

What You’ll Do

As a CNC Process Engineer, you’ll own and improve manufacturing processes within your assigned product line.

You’ll:

  • Develop, document, and oversee manufacturing processes for molybdenum, tungsten, and toll-processing products
  • Work closely with Operations and Quality to ensure processes reflect actual production practices
  • Create and maintain OPCs, BOMs, routing structures, and detailed manufacturing instructions
  • Ensure manufacturing processes support required cost structures and customer quality requirements
  • Evaluate existing processes to identify opportunities to improve capability, efficiency, yield, and      consistency
  • Develop and implement new manufacturing processes and methods
  • Evaluate and introduce new equipment and tooling
  • Support new product and process development
  • Work directly with employees on the manufacturing floor to troubleshoot and resolve production problems
  • Provide technical support to customers to define product and process requirements
  • Help troubleshoot customer material and application issues
  • Partner with Quality Control and Quality Assurance to investigate nonconforming material
  • Support resolution of customer complaints and manufacturing quality issues
  • Lead and participate in corrective and preventive action initiatives
  • Use tools such as FMEA and other quality analyses to identify and reduce process risk
  • Support vendor interactions, equipment evaluations, and equipment development
  • Travel occasionally when required to support vendors, equipment, or other business needs

Requirements

You Could Be a Great Fit!

We’re looking for an engineer who is technically strong but also comfortable getting out from behind a desk and working directly with manufacturing. You could be a strong fit if you have:

  • An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, IT, Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in metals, powder metals, or a similar manufacturing environment
  • Experience developing, documenting, or improving manufacturing processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Experience working with CAD, including SolidWorks
  • CNC programming experience using MasterCam, SolidCam, or similar tools
  • Experience supporting multi-axis milling and turning applications
  • The ability to interpret manufacturing problems, identify potential causes, and develop practical      solutions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with Operations, Quality, and other technical teams
  • A willingness to spend time on the manufacturing floor understanding how processes actually perform

Additional Tools in Your Toolbox

These aren’t necessarily required, but they can help you hit the ground running:

  • SAP experience
  • Lean Manufacturing
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification
  • Statistical Process Control (SPC)
  • Global Shop or similar manufacturing systems
  • FMEA
  • Corrective and preventive action processes
  • Powder metallurgy
  • Hot working of metals
  • Refractory metals manufacturing
  • Equipment specification, evaluation, or commissioning
  • Process capability and yield improvement

What Success Looks Like

Successful Process Engineers at Elmet make manufacturing easier to understand, control, and improve.

You’ll know you’re succeeding when:

  • Manufacturing documentation accurately reflects what happens on the production floor
  • BOMs, routings, OPCs, and work instructions are accurate and usable
  • Operators have clear processes they can consistently follow
  • Production problems are investigated and resolved rather than repeatedly worked around
  • Process capability and yields improve
  • Quality issues and nonconforming material are addressed systematically
  • Corrective actions solve underlying problems
  • New equipment and processes transition successfully into production
  • Cost and quality requirements are considered when process changes are made
  • Operations and Quality see Engineering as a practical partner in solving problems
  • Customer technical questions receive clear, informed support

Engineering That Happens on the Manufacturing Floor

This isn’t a role where process engineering happens entirely behind a computer.

When something isn’t working as expected, you’ll go to the process, talk with the people operating it, review the data, and help determine what needs to change. That could mean adjusting a manufacturing method, investigating a quality problem, improving tooling, revising an instruction, evaluating new equipment, or determining why actual production results don’t match expectations.

The goal is straightforward: understand the process well enough to make it better.

Work With Advanced Materials

Elmet specializes in high-performance metals, including tungsten, molybdenum, tantalum, and niobium. These materials create manufacturing challenges you won’t find in every engineering environment. You’ll have the opportunity to deepen your experience in advanced materials processing while building expertise across manufacturing engineering, machining, process control, quality, equipment, and continuous improvement.

Build Products That Perform Where It Matters

Elmet Technologies is a U.S.-based manufacturer of precision-engineered products serving demanding global industries including aerospace, defense, semiconductor, and energy.

At our Euclid facility, Process Engineering connects product requirements with what happens on the manufacturing floor.

Your work will help determine how products are made, how processes perform, how problems are solved, and how manufacturing improves over time.

Ready to Make the Process Better?

If you’re an engineer who enjoys solving real manufacturing problems, working directly with production teams, and seeing the results of your work on the shop floor, we’d like to hear from you.

Apply today and help build what’s next at Elmet Technologies.
