CNC Operator
 

Job Purpose

To manufacture parts using CNC Turning, Milling, Machining and Grinding machines according to our drawings and specifications, supplying components to our Assembly Shop or directly to customers.

Main Duties

You will operate a variety of CNC machinery on the shop floor including lathes, live tooling, machining, milling and grinding, to produce high-quality components, according to specifications. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Machinery Operation: Setting up and operating CNC milling machines, lathes, and grinders to manufacture components efficiently.
  • Material Handling: Loading materials into machines and ensuring they are prepared for machining processes.
  • Quality Control: Inspecting finished products to verify they meet quality standards and specifications before moving to the next production stage.
  • Maintenance and Safety: Regularly inspecting machines for mechanical issues and maintaining a clean and safe work environment by adhering to Health & Safety regulations.
  • Continuous Learning: Working closely with team members to ensure smooth operations and contributing ideas for process improvements.
  • Flexibility: Demonstrating a willingness to train in various areas within the machine shop as needed to support production demands & enhance your skills versatility and further development.

Candidate Profile

  • Relevant experience in CNC operating, milling, turning, machining, or grinding.
  • Ability to accurately interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • High degree of self-motivation and adaptability to undertake various tasks within the machine shop.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality assurance.
  • Strong aptitude to learn with a collaborative mindset, ready to work as part of a team and develop technical skills & understanding within the Machine Shop.
  • Candidates with proven experience or a relevant engineering qualification / apprenticeship are encouraged to apply.
