The Role

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented CNC Machine Assistant to support our production team in operating and maintaining CNC machinery. The CNC Machine Assistant will work closely with CNC Operators and Technicians to ensure smooth machine operation, assist with setup, and perform routine maintenance tasks. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, a focus on safety, and a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist CNC operators with machine setup, calibration, and adjustments for different production runs.

  • Load and unload materials into CNC machines as directed.

  • Ensure machines are running efficiently by assisting with minor troubleshooting and maintenance.

  • Monitor production runs, track parts, and ensure quality standards are met.

  • Keep work area organized, clean, and safe, following all safety protocols.

  • Follow instructions for tool changes, part measurements, and machine operations.

  • Assist in inventory control and ensure the availability of necessary materials for machine setups.

  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure timely completion of tasks and orders.

  • Perform routine inspections of parts to ensure they meet required specifications.

  • Report any machine malfunctions or maintenance needs to the lead technician or supervisor
     

    Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications in machining is a plus.

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or machining environment is preferred, but not required.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical documents.

  • Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.

  • Basic math skills (measurement, fractions, and decimals).

  • Ability to use hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and other equipment.

  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.

  • Good communication skills and attention to detail.

  • Willingness to learn new techniques and procedures.
     

    Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, which may include exposure to noise, dust, and other industrial conditions.
     

  • Work Environment:

  • Manufacturing floor with exposure to machinery, tools, and various manufacturing materials.

  • Adherence to safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
