Description

Position will include but not limited to, set-up and maintaining production and quality on precision machined parts on manual, CNC milling, CNC turning and CNC screw machine tools. Operating multiple machines when required, programming tooling and fixtures of all machine tools. Works closely with Engineering and manufacturing to improve manufacturing processes and manufacturability of precision machined parts.  Uses blueprints and design sketches to ensure the proper dimensions and tolerance levels of the finished product. Proficient with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within these fields. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under little or no supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.  Typically reports to a supervisor/manager

Requirements

  • May be required to meet certain certificates in the field and preferred to have at least 5-10 years of programming tooling and setup experience.
  • Set up machinist for horizontal mills
  • Manufacturing and machining background is necessary.
  • CNC programming using Master-Cam and or Cam works software is preferable.
  • Should be comfortable using new software programs. 
  • Must work well with others. Good interdepartmental work ethics are a must. 

Skills Required

  • Field certifications (may be required)
  • 5-10 years programming, tooling, and setup experience
  • Set up machinist experience for horizontal mills
  • Manufacturing and machining background
  • CNC programming using Mastercam and/or CamWorks
  • Comfortable learning and using new software programs
  • Strong teamwork and interdepartmental work ethic
