A Day in the Life:
- Program and operate AXYZ Machine.
- Operating a variety of laser cutting machines
- Read and interpret blueprint/shop drawings for machine setup.
- Set-up and adjust machines to ensure parts are produced according to all quality requirements.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot when issues arise.
- Ensure productivity and on-time completion of work orders.
- Support new product development; create bill of materials, routings and fixtures for newly released products.
- Participate in the design of efficient manufacturing processes for new product development.
- Develop CNC Programs (manually and automatically); utilize software programs to ensure efficient and cost-effective machining of parts.
- Assist team in other productions requirements as needed.
What We Are Seeking:
- 3-5 years' experience programming and operating AXYZ machine.
- Experience with laser machines
- Previous experience programming and operating a variety of CNC machines (press, shears, saws) considered an asset.
- Ability to read a Tape Measure to 1/16th " or 1 mm.
- Ability to confidently read and interpret shop drawings/blueprints.
- Ability to focus on agreed-upon priorities, pay attention to detail that ensures high levels of quality.
- Mechanically inclined, with knowledge & experience of equipment, tool selection, optimum settings, understanding of how things work and why.
- Ability to troubleshoot and attend to issues as they arise.
- Shows interest and willingly strive to learn new skills and take on new assignments as the workload dictates.
