Operate and set up large Vertical Turning Lathes (G&L VTLs) to machine heavy aerospace components, perform precision turning/boring/facing to tight tolerances, handle machine setup/CNC controls, support shift schedules/overtime, pass background/drug screening, and perform physically demanding tasks.

Required Skills, Experience, and Education:
- Ability to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening, which will include but is not limited to testing for marijuana use.
- 4 or more years of experience as a CNC Machinist.
- Experience operating Giddings & Lewis (G&L) Vertical Turning Lathes (VTLs), including machining large, heavy, and complex components such as engine blocks, turbine rotors, and large gears.
- Demonstrated ability to perform precision turning, boring, and facing operations while maintaining tight tolerances.
- Familiarity with CNC controls, machine setup, and leveraging vertical spindle configurations to ensure safe, stable, and efficient workpiece handling.
- Passion to build Spacecraft and Rocket components.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including standing, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Proficient in math and computer skills as they apply to CNC machining operations.
- Ability to support 1st and 2nd shift assignments, overtime, and weekend work, as needed.
Additional requirements for senior-level:
- 8 or more years of experience as a CNC Machinist.
Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:
- Experience with Mazak, DMG Mori, and Okuma equipment.
- Familiarity with 4 and 5-axis machining, Mill/Turn operations, and Vertical Turret Lathe (VTL) experience.
