As a CNC Applications Engineer focused on metallic fabrication, you'll transform engineering designs into reality by ensuring production readiness and optimizing cycle times without compromise. This role demands hands-on problem solving on the shop floor, where uptime and accuracy are non-negotiable in driving our success.

- Translate complex engineering designs into manufacturable parts using both high-speed CNCs and manual machines.
- Develop and prove out CNC programs and fixturing solutions that guarantee repeatable, high-precision results.
- Balance optimizing cycle time, surface finish, and tool life to ensure peak performance and quality.
- Apply expertise in multi-axis machining to handle complex geometries and challenging designs.
- Solve real-time machining challenges on the shop floor, ensuring cutters and fixtures meet design specifications.
- Explore and integrate the latest machines, cutters, and CAM techniques to advance our machining capabilities.
- Lead improvements in GD&T understanding to enhance machining accuracy and consistency.
- A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven ability to lead technical projects, interface directly with engineers and machinists, and drive collaborative solutions in a manufacturing environment.
- Deep expertise in high-precision machining within aerospace or similar industries.
- Proven ability to develop innovative fixturing solutions for previously unmachinable parts.
- Relentless drive for optimization and innovation in machining processes.
- Demonstrates fearless curiosity, consistently exploring new tools and techniques.
- Demonstrates a strong work ethic and ambition, complemented by effective collaboration skills in a team setting
- Excels in a high-energy, independent, and challenging work environment

Compensation
The Base Salary Range for this position is $109,000 - $137,000 per year. Actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Boom’s total rewards package for employees. Other rewards may include long-term incentives/equity, a flexible PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits.
