This position may be filled with a candidate whose background is stronger in either 300mm Wet or 300mm CMP equipment, depending on experience and team fit. We are looking for someone who not only brings direct equipment knowledge, but also demonstrates initiative, energy, curiosity, strong ownership, and a desire to build a long-term career with TI.
Responsibilities include:
- Evaluating, selecting, and ordering equipment that is most appropriate and cost effective for the manufacture of company products
- Overseeing the installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment
- Studying equipment performance, reliability, and failure trends to drive improvement in uptime, stability, and overall factory performance
- Establishing programs, corrective actions, and long-term solutions for equipment issues that affect the manufacturing process
- Driving equipment problem-solving efforts with a strong sense of ownership, urgency, and follow-through
- Building and improving preventive maintenance strategies, recovery procedures, and documentation that strengthen execution consistency
- Providing technical support to manufacturing equipment repair, maintenance, and process engineering organizations
- Partnering effectively with technicians, process engineers, manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams to solve problems and improve results
- Keeping current on equipment manufacturers’ technical notices, upgrades, and safety issues
- Identifying opportunities to simplify work, improve systems, and develop practical solutions that increase efficiency and strengthen execution over time
- Driving innovation through creative problem solving, continuous improvement, and a willingness to take on difficult technical challenges
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Physics, or a related engineering degree
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience working in a semiconductor manufacturing environment as an Equipment Engineering Tool Owner
Preferred Qualifications:
- Direct 300mm equipment engineering experience in CMP and/or Wet systems
- For CMP backgrounds, experience with AMAT and/or Ebara platforms
- For Wet backgrounds, experience with TEL, LAM, and/or Screen platforms
- Experience troubleshooting tool reliability, driving failure reduction, and improving long-term equipment performance
- Experience with equipment maintenance systems, technical documentation, and building sustainable operating procedures
- Experience using tool monitoring, factory systems, and equipment data to support prioritization, problem solving, and action planning
- Working knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing, SPC techniques, and cleanroom protocols
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues and translate findings into sustainable corrective actions
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively across functions and build strong, influential relationships
- Ability to take initiative, drive results, and operate with a high level of ownership
