Since 1891, Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco (BGCSF) has provided high-quality, community-based youth development services to youth in San Francisco. Under the supervision of the Vice President of Clubhouse Services, the Clubhouse Director holds overall executive responsibility for the Don Fisher Clubhouse. This role provides executive vision and high-level leadership across team management, program delivery, outcome measurement, strategic partnerships, risk management, and fiscal oversight. The Clubhouse Director builds a positive, aspirational, and safe culture for staff, youth, families, and community partners while driving BGCSF's strategic plan goals.

• Staff Management & Leadership
  
  • Directly supervise the Assistant Clubhouse Director and 2–3 direct service staff, ensuring high service quality and strong staff development.
  • Drive Clubhouse goals for total youth served, average daily attendance (ADA), program requirements, and Camp Mendocino enrollment.
  • Lead positive behavior and discipline models, crisis response, risk management, facility safety, and closing procedures.
  • Oversee staff MBO goals, data collection integrity, marketing efforts, and the annual 360-degree Club evaluation process.
  • Plan and facilitate weekly team meetings and represent the Club at organizational special events (Board Luncheon, Gala, Youth of the Year).
    
• Strategic Partnerships & Collaborations
  
  • Build and maintain high-impact partnerships with local schools, police captains, and community organizations to expand Club reach and capacity.
  • Execute facility use agreements, MOUs, space rentals, and ensure a high-quality experience for all volunteers.
    
• Resource Management
  
  • Develop and manage the Clubhouse operating budget, ensuring expenditure compliance.
  • Partner with Development and Institutional Giving on grant writing, outcome reporting, donor tours, and Camp fundraising goals.
    

• 7+ years of leadership experience in a social service or education-related organization, with proven success in staff management, operations, and community relations
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, manage, lead, and motivate a team
• Strong leadership skills including negotiation, problem-solving, delegation, and decision-making
• Strong knowledge of asset management (including property-related assets) and excellent communication skills
• Red Cross First Aid/CPR certification (within 90 days of employment)
  

• Leadership experience within an inner-city Boys & Girls Club or inner-city community-based organization
• Thorough understanding of non-profits, youth development organizations, risk management best practices, and inherent risk mitigation
  

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must be able to stand for at least 2 hours consecutively.
• Must be able to sit at a computer workstation for long periods of time.

The wage range for this position is $90,000–$95,000 annually. Final compensation is determined based on a range of factors, including skill set, experience, training, certifications, and organizational needs. Candidates may be hired at the entry, mid, or top level of the range depending on qualifications and position requirements.

As part of the hiring process, BGCSF requires candidates to complete LiveScan fingerprinting, a background check, and a tuberculosis (TB) evaluation or test.
