Cloud Software Engineer TS/SCI Poly

Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer in Annapolis Junction, MD.

 

This team provides critical engineering and technical support for a suite of three specialized analyst tools used across the national security analysts and its partners. Expectation is for all engineers on this team to manage the full lifecycle of the products – design, development, testing, documentation, customer engagement, and maintenance. 

What You’ll do: 

• Candidate must be capable of working across the entire stack; there is no capacity for front-end only or backend-only roles 
• Collaborate well with customers and in a small team 
• Strong proficiency in Java development 
• Work within a Linux based desktop environment and development

Qualifications

Requirements: 

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or in a related technical field is highly desired which will be considered equivalent to two (2) years of experience A Master's degree in a Technical Field will be considered equivalent to four (4) years of experience

Five (5) or more years of directly related experience with:

• Full stack proficiency 
• Java – Kotlin will be an advantage too 
• JavaScript/ Typescript
• CSS/ HTML 
• React 
• High confidence in Linux
• Git workflow
• Team primary utilizes IntelliJ, VSCode, and vim 

One of the following certifications are required:

• AWS Certified Developer-Associate
• AWS DevOps Engineer Professional
• Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
• Elastic Certified Engineer

An Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Redux experience 
• Understanding or experience with the following 
• Digital Signal Processing (DSP) for waveform analysis 
• Data/ bit analysis 
• Packet analysis 
• Familiarity with agentic-based development

Target Salary Range$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
