The Opportunity:
We are currently seeking an experienced Cloud Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) for a W2 role. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring our cloud services are highly available, reliable, and perform optimally. They will focus on system design, capacity planning, performance analysis, and systems reliability.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code projects.
- Optimize existing systems for scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Track system metrics, analyze trends, and suggest improvements.
- Collaborate with other members of the team to address system-related issues.
- Provide regular updates on health, performance, and reliability of systems and infrastructure.
Desired Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or similar role.
- Knowledge of cloud-based services, preferably AWS.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Strong understanding of networking and system architecture.
Nice-to-haves:
- Certification in AWS or Google Cloud.
- Experience with containerized solutions like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Demonstrable knowledge of database systems, both SQL and NoSQL.
- Proficiency in a scripting language such as Python or Bash.
- Understanding of monitoring tools like Prometheus or Grafana.
