Cloud Services Engineer
Classification: FLSA Exempt (USA Only)
Reports To: Director of Cloud Services
Summary
Indica Labs is looking for an experienced Cloud Services Engineer, specializing in cloud technologies (primarily AWS). You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing cloud solutions for clients to support their Digital Pathology workflows.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Work closely with clients to understand their business needs and design cloud solutions that meet their requirements.
- Configure and deploy various AWS services, ensuring to implement best practices for security, performance, and cost optimization.
- Continuously monitor and optimize clients' AWS environments to ensure performance, scalability, and cost efficiency. Identify opportunities for improvement and provide recommendations for optimization.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by providing exceptional customer service.
- Support commercial efforts by presenting Professional Services capabilities to perspective clients in seminars and tradeshows, or giving technical presentations, as required.
- Responsible for the appropriate accessing and handling of electronic Protected Health Information (PHI) as outlined by policy and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree. Equivalent work experience may substitute for degree requirement.
- Two (2) years of experience working with cloud technologies (specifically AWS)
- AWS Solutions Architect Associate Certification
- Experience working directly with customers with good customer service skills
- Willing to travel domestically/internationally up to 20% with public speaking engagements at events & customer sites.
- Must hold, or be able to obtain, a valid passport for international travel
- Authorization to work in the United States, or appropriate authorization to work in the applicant’s current home country (Indica Labs, Inc. does not sponsor work visas)

- Master’s Degree. Equivalent work experience may substitute for degree requirement.

- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.

- Strong skills in researching issues and the ability to learn new technologies/systems.
Location
This position is based at our headquarters in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Candidates currently residing within 100 miles of Albuquerque are considered for 100% in-office positions. Candidates currently residing outside of this area are considered for fully remote positions in their home state or country.
