Join our cutting-edge Cloud Platform Enablement team as an AWS Cloud Platform Engineer and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of cloud-native solutions within our fast-paced environment. We are on the hunt for a passionate, experienced engineer who thrives in a dynamic setting, eager to drive the acceleration of cloud adoption and delivery organization-wide, securely, and efficiently. Your mission involves crafting and enhancing platform-based services, leveraging your deep knowledge of cloud computing, DevOps practices, infrastructure as code, and continuous integration/deployment. If you're a quick learner, a collaborative spirit, and have an insatiable appetite for new technologies and industry innovations, we want you on our team.
What you'll be doing...

  • Development Portal Management:
    • Spearhead the creation and ongoing enhancement of a central development portal, ensuring seamless access to cloud resources, tools, and documentation for developers.
  • Collaboration and Requirement Evaluation:
    • Work closely with engineering and development teams to align our platform solutions with organizational needs.
  • Governance and Compliance:
    • Establish and maintain governance frameworks to ensure cloud deployments and our platform offerings meet strict monitoring, threat management, data protection, and cost management standards.
  • Cloud Onboarding and Support:
    • Act as the primary liaison for teams navigating cloud onboarding, design, and implementation, ensuring a smooth and efficient integration of cloud resources.
  • Automated Delivery Workflows, Infra-as-Code, and Reference Architectures:
    • Develop a foundational suite of Terraform modules, GitHub workflows, and Reference architectures to streamline team onboarding and enhance service delivery.
  • Cloud Migration Strategy:
    • Design and implement robust strategies for migrating on-premises solutions to the cloud, aligning with broader organizational goals.
  • Trend Monitoring and Innovation:
    • Stay at the forefront of cloud platform engineering trends and technologies, advocating for innovative solutions that bolster organizational performance and agility.
  • Resource Direction and Problem Solving:
    • Serve as a bridge to organizational resources for teams facing challenges, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
    • Cultivate a knowledge-sharing ecosystem, documenting cloud infrastructure and application guidelines, best practices, and tutorials.


What you'll bring to us...

  • 3+ years of experience in automating and supporting AWS cloud services.
  • Proficiency with core AWS services (e.g., AWS Organizations, Lambda, ECS, S3, CloudFront, RDS, DynamoDB, API Gateway).
  • A solid grasp of cloud services, security, storage, and networking concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with automated CI/CD workflows in GitHub or similar platforms.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools and techniques.
  • Coding experience in languages such as Java, Python, Node.js, etc.
  • Practical experience with containerization technologies.
  • Linux expertise, including automation with Bash and/or Python.
  • Experience utilizing REST APIs and cloud service SDKs in automation scripts.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of articulating complex concepts to diverse audiences.
