Roles & Responsibilities:
Strong hands-on experience in Microsoft Windows Server administration, including installation, configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, patching, OS upgrades, performance tuning, and server lifecycle management.
Strong experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, domain services, authentication, authorization, user and group administration, and Windows security administration.
Experience with PowerShell scripting for administration, reporting, automation, troubleshooting, service management, and operational efficiency improvements.
Experience in patch management, vulnerability management, server hardening, compliance remediation, antivirus coordination, and security baseline implementation.
Hands-on experience with IIS administration, Windows clustering, backup and restore operations, disaster recovery planning, high availability, and business continuity support.
Knowledge of VMware, Hyper-V, storage technologies including SAN, NAS, and cloud storage platforms, as well as enterprise backup solutions and recovery procedures.
Strong understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS resolution, DHCP scopes, routing, VLANs, firewall coordination, load balancing concepts, and connectivity troubleshooting.
Experience working with ITIL-based operational processes, ServiceNow ticketing, incident management, problem management, change management, service requests, and SLA-driven support.
Ability to maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, work instructions, infrastructure reports, and knowledge base articles.
Professional & Technical Skills:
Administer, monitor, patch, upgrade, troubleshoot, and maintain enterprise Microsoft Windows Server environments across production and non-production landscapes.
Manage Windows Server operating system upgrades, server builds, configuration, performance tuning, capacity monitoring, and server lifecycle activities.
Administer Active Directory services including user and group management, organizational units, domain controllers, replication, Group Policy Objects, authentication, and access control.
Manage core Windows infrastructure services including DNS, DHCP, IIS, file services, print services, certificates, scheduled tasks, and Windows services.
Implement and maintain high-availability and disaster recovery solutions, including Windows clustering, failover configuration, backup, restore, and recovery validation.
Perform patch management and vulnerability remediation using enterprise tools such as WSUS, SCCM/MECM, or equivalent platforms while maintaining compliance with organizational standards.
Monitor Windows Server health, availability, performance, capacity, logs, services, events, and alerts identify root causes and implement corrective actions for recurring issues.
Support VMware and Hyper-V environments, including virtual machine provisioning, resource allocation, snapshots, performance troubleshooting, and coordination with virtualization teams.
Collaborate with network, security, cloud, application, database, storage, and infrastructure teams to resolve complex technical incidents, service requests, changes, and escalations using ITIL and ServiceNow processes.
